Atmel announced the company has launched
its next-generation family of automotive-qual-
i ed ARM Cortex-M0+-based MCUs with
an integrated peripheral touch controller for
capacitive touch applications.
e new SAM
DA1 is the rst series in this Atmel |SMART
MCU automotive-quali ed product family,
operating at a maximum frequency of 48MHz
and reaching a 2.14 Coremark/MHz. Atmel’s
SAM DA1 series is ideal for capacitive touch
button, slider, wheel or proximity sensing
applications and o ers high analog perfor-
mance for greater front-end exibility.
Altium: PCB design tool for inte-
grated SolidWorks collaboration
Altium announced PCBWorks, a new PCB
design tool created to enhance work ow col-
laboration between electrical and mechanical
designers. Created in direct response to the
divide between electrical and mechanical work-
ows, PCBWorks provides a powerful set of col-
laboration tools to integrate design data with the
mechanical design so ware SolidWorks.

GOEPEL: demo board for
integration systems
Integra V1 is the new solution for detection of
integration speci c faults. GOEPEL electron-
ics presents a special Boundary Scan demo

MSC: large range of TFT displays
with embedded DisplayPort
MSC Technologies has expanded its product
portfolio with high-resolution TFT industrial
displays, which provide an embedded Dis-
playPort interface. eDP is based on the Video
Electronics Standards Association Display-
Port Standard and today is already being used
in large quantities as a standard in the mass
market, for example in notebooks.
