New embedded consortium for standardization management
The founding of the Standardization Group for Embedded Technologies (SGET) has been announced. Leading embedded computer manufacturers, namely Advantech, congatec, Data Modul, Kontron, MSC, and SECO have announced to be among the founding members. The SGET will hold its inaugural meeting at the beginning of March and will be committed to developing and maintaining worldwide valid embedded computing specifications, in order to propel new embedded technology standardizations meeting the demands of the markets.

Farnell element14 to demonstrate end-to-end embedded design solutions
Farnell element14 has announced some of its plans for this year’s Embedded World. The company will be demonstrating its latest embedded design solutions including software development tools, development boards, ARM based designs, PCB Design software and fabrication services that support developers from initial specification through to final prototype.

InnoDisk to showcase new industrial MLC storage solutions
InnoDisk has successfully solved the problems associated with most MLC SSDs with the release of the EverGreen and InnoLite series, a new generation of industrial MLC storage solutions. InnoDisk’s EverGreen and InnoLite series offer budget-friendly products with longer lifespans, especially for semi-industrial applications, including POS, kiosks, automation, and thin client systems.
