recently, 5G took a big step forward when the 3GPP
standardization body approved a first draft of the 5G specification for
Release 15. We have been talking about 5G for what seems like forever,
yet tangible benchmarks to assess the status of the impending standard
have been few and far between. With the consensual approval from the
3GPP’s over 400 member companies, the world now has a real
specification. But, we still have a long way to go before 5G becomes
reality in out lives.
This webinar shows the benefits of Analog Devices'
combined interface and isolation portfolio for several application
examples including RS-485 solutions for Military, Aerospace and
Industrial applications requiring high EMC immunity; isolating SPI
interfaced SAR ADC's and using LVDS transceivers to solve AFE (Analogue
Front End) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) backplane
communications challenges.
The data sheet forms the essential basis for the
selection of the right resistor. This white paper uses realistic
calculation examples to clearly illustrate how a data sheet can be used
to choose the appropriate resistor and what information is important.

Thanks to CMOSens® Technology for IR
detection Sensirion’s SCD30 offers highly accurate and stable CO2,
temperature and humidity monitoring. The sensor compensates for
long-term drifts automatically by design. Due it’s very small module
height it allows easy integration into different applications.

Japanese chip vendor Renesas Electronics denied that it
is in talks to acquire rival Maxim Integrated after reports about a
possible deal sent Maxim's stock price skyrocketing.
What is a smart edge device? With increased intelligence
at the edge of the network, these devices are being used for data
collection and control, but what exactly makes them smart? In this
webinar, you will get insights into key attributes of a smart end node,
like simple and easy to use, agility, reliability, SWaP,
programmability and security.
CodeMeter License Central offers licenses with unit
counters and automated processes, which makes pay-per-use models just
as simple to handle as permanent or subscription licenses. In this
on-demand webinar, we will go through the whole lifecycle from a number
of success stories that will get you inspired to the whole set of
actions that will get you started.

In the first part of this series we
discussed pedal effect circuit design and in the second part we looked
at a distortion pedal circuit with low power and soft clipping. Now we
will discuss a rather unconventional, but effective empirical approach
to distortion pedal circuit design.

A problem designing a demo board for a trade show led
Natasha Baker to a career as an entrepreneur. Her story shines a light
on the status of online design tools and provides a role model for
women in tech.
Today
we are entering an era in which machines adapt their behaviour to
humans, rather than the other way around. In this webinar you will
learn about the latest Human Vision Components and about OKAO, a
software which includes ten different sensing technologies related to
human recognition.
Two options are available to build trust in the correct
operation of the compiler: either by compiler qualification through
testing, or application coverage testing at the machine code level. We
argue that the first, compiler qualification, is much more efficient.
In addition, separating compiler qualification from application
development shortens the critical path to application deployment
(time-to-market).

In this article, I want to use an MRI
(magnetic resonance imaging) medical scanner design as a familiar
example for what needs to be done in a power supply design architecture
to allow it to function properly in a high magnetic field environment.

After three years in development by teams in Finland and
Norway, Nordic Semiconductor introduced a system-in-package (SiP)
module for low-power Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
In this webinar you will learn how modular systems based
on the tested SMARC Computer-on-Modules provide an efficient solution
and for which applications SMARC is the right answer offering perfect
the fit for IOT computing. Additionally you will get insights in
current topics of security requirements and how to meet them.

Bluetooth 5 brings across-the-board
improvements compared to Bluetooth 4.2 LE. By paying close attention to
your test and measurement strategies, you can design devices that take
advantage of everything the new standard offers.

People used to dream about having a robotic assistant to
obey their every command, and now, thanks to the Amazon Echo, the
future has arrived. But with privacy concerns becoming an ever-growing
issue in our tech-heavy world, is having a digital assistant secure?
Below are four ways that the Amazon Echo and its obedient voice, Alexa,
pose threats to your privacy.
PCAP is the most advanced touch solution available
today. But due to cost reasons it has been limited to smaller devices.
Scaling PCAP to larger screen sizes, 24+ inches, had deterred many
customers, but Elo is changing this now with its latest generation of
PCAP touch screens.
